2. The Jacket
Don’t despair–a jacket is back in a big way. Yes, it’s a an obvious one but really, fall and winter is the season to pull out your outerwear. The touted “summer jacket” is back — think trench coat, mop-top. Details are slimming, swing jackets are strong.
This season uber-marketability is key — you need a look that will sell you on the strength of your personality, rather than your pocketbook. Jackets — formerly the uniform for the Prep Style geeks — have landed again. But this time, they’re slimmer, and more feminine. Embellished, patterned jackets are hot, as are long, waisted jackets which are so in this season. Jack and Jones have both designed beautiful, and very ladylike jackets. So if prints and femininity are key for you this season, these jackets are part of your essential look.

It’s the look of the couple from the current season — Jennifer and Christina.
