Fashion Trends – It’s Better To Get It Cheap

Designers always turn to the same thing for recession relief – Ugg boots. These useful Australian wonders are some of the most fashionable footwear on the market today. But don’t worry, in an economic downturn, it’s possible to get these Uggs too for much cheaper.

How do you get Ugg boots cheap? There are a few tips and tricks, some good, some not so good. Here are some of them:

sell, buy, and then sell the unwanted feet

Of course the obvious answer is to sell them on eBay, but with the economy in a recession and with a potential new owner trying to dig out some extra cash, it may not be easy to get that buyer. If you are good with shoes, and know someone who knows how to sell shoes, why not take it up? You could get quite a bit for your Ugg boots.

As for buy and sell, the best tip is to go cheap. Maybe you are used to buying just a few pairs of the popular shoes. I am not sure how many people can afford at least five Ugg boots. If not, well then, just go cheap.

It’s obvious that a seller with a large number of listings is going to bring a thinner price edge on the market. Find a medium number of listings and just buy the ones you want, in multiple lots.

To find the sellers just search on Google using in your search box, ‘Cheap Ugg Boots’ + ‘Women’s Leather Boots’ or ‘Women’s Leather Boots – looking for each individually.

The sellers will get the boot (they are going to want the most anyway). You will emerge from the auction with what you think will be a very reasonable price. In the real world, it’s not always what you pay. A compromise between buying now and paying later.

If you do this and get a bunch of sellers all competing against each other, then I can guarantee you will get a very competitive price. You’ll see that price tends to pull back quite sharply.

Stick to a shopping list if you’re busy – but most of the competition will be out of your vertical (top-down) list. As you start to buy (and add to your list), you will discover that other people are already using the same boot. They have the same retailer. It’s all about remembering which sellers have been consistent.

Finally, one of my favorite tips is this: If it’s a overpowered or very cheap boot, make sure you only bid on the bare minimum (by weight, not price). It is much more interesting to pay higher (or lower) than the minimum price, and only buy when you have gone through several solid lines.

You can always undo these purchases, if you feel they are less than what you want. Repairs can be costly, so be sure to take the time.

Soap and clean your boots regularly. Different kinds (on the leather, suede, etc.) of leather will (at times) change their look. Leather can change its looks without a lot of shine. Spring time and fall can each be problematic.

If your boots have (or should) contain a small inner bootie, clean and store them. Boots from Italy (like Adrianna Mancoz) can be especially difficult to keep clean, since they tend to lack waterproofing (which can be expensive).

Please note that I have carefully avoided mentioning prices here, because I have not done them. If your boot holds a price tag, it holds a price tag. If you want to pay less…compromise might be in order. Consider purchasing your boots either at a discount retailer ( banished in 2003 under the new board eliminated ” critic” tag) or with discount coupons ( accordion to the shopping assistance).

I hope this article has shed a little (or a lot) light on the somewhat complex (but much more fun) world of women’s boots. Happy shopping.
